Quzhou:

The economy of Quzhou is full of vitality and is heading for a brighter future. It is not only home of the biggest fluoride chemical industry base in China, therefore is honored as the “fluorine city of China”, but also the only city which sees the co-flourishing of both fluoride and silicon industries. The production of monocrystalline silicon and organic silicon takes a leading role in the national same trades. Quzhou was awarded as the base for novel types of fluoride and silicon materials by Ministry of Science and Technology in May, 2008.
 

For Zhejiang Province, Quzhou is also an important base of constructing materials, special paper, and precise bearings. The pneumatic machinery has a high domestic market share. Under the guideline of “sophisticated leading industry, large-scaled new industry, traditional high-tech industry”, Quzhou has been ardently developing the industries of new fluoride and silicon materials, equipment manufacture, and novel energy, luminous source, and materials, which are summarized as the 100billion industries. The gross value of industrial output from the above-scale industrial enterprises reached 132.86 billion RMB in 2011, among which 231 companies are with the scale of over 100 million yuan. Quzhou is home of the largest green agricultural product base. There is a well-developed ecologically efficient agriculture with distinct features of being natural, base-scale, and brand-oriented. This can be furthered illustrated by the title of home of 17 specialties nationwide and by the green agricultural products base of over one million Mu (15 mu equals one hectare).
